The Desperado Club Runner's Headband

Mythic Item (Membership is earned. There are no dues. Only miles.)

Description: Welcome to The Desperado Club. There are no meetings. No membership cards. No secret handshake. The only requirement is that, at some point during a run, you've looked down at your watch, realized you still had miles to go, and decided to keep moving anyway. This headband isn't for runners chasing perfection. It's for the ones who lace up before sunrise, run through rain because the training plan says so, and discover that suffering with purpose has a strange way of becoming fun.

Or at least...

So fun it hurts.

Crafted from moisture-wicking performance fabric and imbued with just enough reckless optimism to get you through one more mile, this headband keeps sweat out of your eyes so you can focus on making terrible decisions like signing up for another race.

Passive Ability — Pain Acceptance: Discomfort is automatically reclassified as "part of the process." Your legs still hurt. You simply stop negotiating with them.

Passive Ability — Quiet Confidence: +15 Resistance to self-doubt. You no longer feel the need to explain why you run. Those who understand... understand. Those who don't... Never would.

Active Skill — One More Mile: Once per run, when you're convinced you're finished, you discover there is still one more mile hiding somewhere inside you.

Guild Bonus: When another member of the Desperado Club notices your headband, an unspoken acknowledgment is exchanged. No words are necessary. Just a nod. You both know.

System Warning: Membership cannot be purchased. Only earned. Every run renews your subscription. Miss too many...and the miles come to collect.
